Bought this one specifically for the type of latches that you have to use the key to unlock, but with the backpack option instead of just the wrist, however the backpack is for a much larger child. Bought for my 18month old, however the backpack doesn't even come close to fitting my 3 year old! Was very disappointing. However the wrist style works great. It was difficult to get it to stay on her wrist without being too tight as she has tiny wrists, but we made it work. It was definitely nice to allow her to walk instead of trying to carry her the whole time.The shield bag is tiny. The straps are ridiculously long, especially on the sides so the bag hangs limply while the harness doesn't hold it in place. The harness lets the child easily escape while wearing it so it isn't secure. We already have a harness and he's never managed to remove it while wearing it so that is what I used as comparison. But the child in question picked it and wouldn't let go of it once it was received so I kept it. He now wears it on the side like a messenger bag...Overall, as a bag for toddler it's too small and as a harness it's completely useless. I definitely wouldn't buy it again nor recommend it.It was cute. And he liked it. First trip out it broke. It isn't sewed well.
