purchased the TradeINArt 2pc Stretch Aux Belt Removal Installer to install a "stretch to fit" belt on a 2013 Ford Fiesta. It wasn't in my budget to purchase one of the metal ones. I was a little leery about using a plastic installer realizing how much force needs to be exerted to stretch one of these belts on. Surprisingly it did hold up, but I doubt that you would be able to use this tool on more than a few belt installs before it would eventually crumble. I did accidentally snap the little "handle" off the install tool when I pulled my breaker bar too close to the tool. The real problem I had was that at the critical moment of belt installation, the installer tool would slip and not rotate with the crankshaft pulley. I solved this problem by installing a huge zip tie snugly around the belt and pulley behind the install tool keeping it and the belt held in place and this worked fine. I probably could have just used the zip tie alone but found that having the tool in place formed a ramp to keep the stress of the belt off the edge of the pulley which could have potentially damaged the belt. So do you need this tool? For the price it may be worth it to have a set of these in your tool box... right next to your zip ties.
