I got these to repair a expensive paint brush that I let get dry and rock hard. Secret to saving a hardened paint brush? Put some drain cleaner in a jar, just a little bit, add water and let soak a few days. The drain cleaner will dissolve the hardened paint. Wash out with hot water, then use these wire brushes to comb out. My ruined pricey paint brush is ready to paint again! Caution, may not work with natural hair brushes. The brushes worked well and stood up to our hours of scrubbing. Eventually, the bristles began to bend and crumble because we were really scrubbing hard with them, but they were usable until the job was done.Works well. Not sure why you would pay anything more for these considering they will get damaged with use. These work to scrub away gunk and grime from brake components. I have yet to use the brass on soft metals and will update my review if needed. Be careful with the steel brush, it is very prickly and will itch like mad if you poke yourself. Use a cloth or gloves.The brass and steel brushes are perfert. The are less damaging than other brushes I could use, but still do a great job.The Nylon brush melted at 215C in a way that no other nylon brush I have ever had has done. This makes me wonder if it is actually nylon. It melted and smelled a little like PETG so I would recommend using it at lower than PLA extrusion temperatures.
